Hi there life-adventurer!
I had this great bit of insight that I wanted to share with you! So, let's say you have this goal or dream you've been thinking about. Maybe it's becoming a published author, starting a business, meeting some new friends, finding a love partner, or even getting your beloved to stop snoring.
My insight was this: What if you then went on the internet and started a free website at yola.com, a free blog, a meetup.com group, or a Craigslist.org posting about it? As you created this posting on the web, you'd be creating a "vision board," and it will help if you put pictures up and words that clarifying who you are, what you want to attract, and what kind of help you'd like others to bring to the table. By putting that message out there, you'd be getting insight into yourself; creating a sort of mirror to reflect what's going on inside of you. You could see your inner self from the outside, visually, on the net, and evaluate what you could do to help you reach your goal. Take time to work on this site or post continually, so you can get it organized and your mind can process it the most efficiently. Sometimes just organizing your problem or goal in a different medium can change the way your brain approaches it, and may give you a flash of incredible insight.
Things to include:
Pictures of what you want.
Description about you.
Description of what obstacles you face.
What you envision as your ideal situation, starting with: "I will have..." or "I have..."
How you'd like the world or individuals to help you.
What would you like to give back to the world or individuals?
And don't forget to add some way of contacting you, even a guestbook, if you want people to be able to reach out with help!
And as a bonus, by posting on the net, you're reaching out to a very large community. According to the Internet World Stats website, almost 2 billion people use the internet. And while it sometimes takes a while for your site to be noticed, you're more likely to attract help on your goal if you put it out there than if you don't. In fact, once you have your site or posting up, you could bring help your way by contacting other people on the internet who seem like they have similar goals, would have insight, advice, would want to join you in your cause, like what you have to offer, or know people who would. You could send people personally tailored messages about your site. Couldn't hurt, right? Unless that doesn't feel right for you. In that case, you could let people find you if they are meant to find you, and simply use this web posting to learn about yourself.
I'm Life Coach Lauren Marie Owen, and I'd like to invite you to be coached by me. I'd also like to invite you to receive my FREE, inspirational email newsletter with exercises like this one, and fun stuff. Just put your email in at the bottom of my website. You can call me up at: 1-510-842-7566
